5 Romantic Ways to Propose

So… you’re finally going to pop the big question. Congratulations! We wish you all the best for the wonderful life you both have ahead of you, and along with it, 5 awesome ways to propose!

Take Them to Dinner and Surprise Them

Sound too old? Well, it’s a classic and never fails to surprise your loved one! Simply ask them to come to dinner with you, like any other day, and before dessert arrives, ask them to marry you!

To add a little fun to the night, you could experiment with all sorts of ideas. You could ask the chef to place the ring on the plate, or the waiter to drop the ring in the drinking glass *just like in the movies ;)*, or you could simply grab the box from your pocket and just do it!

These ideas do sound quite usual and overused but when you execute them, the magic never fades from the moment!

Take Them to The Place Where You First Met

Understandably, you can’t always go to the place you met because most people don’t even remember where they met or who they started talking through — especially old friends who just ended up getting infatuated with each other.

But if you do remember how you met, you can use it to your utmost advantage and make the place an even more special one! If you met in school, you could simply ask the school administrators to let you use a classroom on a holiday to make the moment more memorable. It would be such a cute gesture if you would go through with it.

Another idea could be to simply propose them at a place where you had one of your firsts. The first time you met, the first time you (or they) said I love you, and so on!

Do It at Home

Now, what could go wrong with a comfy setup at home? If you two are more interested in staying home and spending most of your time Netflix and chilling, the ideal way would be to plan a beautiful dinner at home, and then when you’re cleaning up the kitchen, simply bend on your knees and hold open the box that would have the shiny ring inside.

The bending on your knees part might sound a bit cliché… ok quite a lot of cliché but hey! It’s always a sweet gesture. However, that is just what we recommend. You can plan out your proposal whichever way you want!

Propose at A Party or A Public Event

If you two often find yourselves at several public events, it surely won’t be a surprise if you ask your partner to host (or go to) an event.

You could ask a friend to stage a fake promotion and host a party for it. And when you’re done preparing yourself, simply go up to the stage, grab the mic, get everyone’s attention, and let the show begin.

Ask your future husband or wife to step up to the stage while you start saying your little proposal speech. Then, all that will be left to do would be to officially ask them to become your life partner. Get a small flower bouquet to add some extra flare.

And once all goes well, simply thank the guests for coming and being a part of such a special day in both of your lives :).

Catch Them Completely Off Guard

The best or simplest way to do this is to take your soon-to-be spouse to a place where you two usually go. It could be hiking, on a long drive, to a favorite spot where the both of you like to spend some time together… it could be anything!

If you guys like to climb mountains, you could surprise them with a delicious breakfast in bed and then ask them to get ready. If they question your suspiciously sweet behavior, tell them you just want to spend a peaceful day with the person you love ;).

Next, simply hike up the mountain, choose a location that has a mind-blowing view, and pop the question, and when they finally say yes, be careful not to fall off the cliff in the excitement.
